Mastering Google Maps App- A Step-by-Step Guide to Utilize Street View Features

How to Use Street View on Google Maps App

Are you looking to explore the world from the comfort of your home? Google Maps App’s Street View feature allows you to virtually visit any location on the planet. Whether you want to see the famous landmarks or simply explore the streets of your hometown, this guide will help you navigate and use Street View on the Google Maps app.

Step 1: Open the Google Maps App

First, make sure you have the Google Maps app installed on your smartphone or tablet. If you haven’t already, download it from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once installed, open the app and sign in with your Google account.

Step 2: Search for a Location

After opening the app, you will see a search bar at the top. Type in the name of the place you want to explore or use the location search by tapping the location icon on the map. This will take you to the desired location on the map.

Step 3: Access Street View

Once you are at the desired location, look for the yellow Pegman icon on the map. This icon represents Street View. Tap on the Pegman to activate Street View. If you can’t find the Pegman, try zooming out on the map until it appears.

Step 4: Navigate Street View

When you tap on the Pegman, it will transform into a blue figure and stick to the ground. This figure represents your virtual presence in Street View. You can move the figure to different locations by dragging it across the map. To look around, simply rotate your device or swipe your finger on the screen.

Step 5: Explore Different Views

In addition to the standard Street View, Google Maps also offers various other views. These include:

– Satellite View: To see the location from a bird’s-eye perspective.
– Terrain View: To view the elevation and terrain of the area.
– 3D View: To see buildings and landmarks in 3D.

To switch between these views, tap on the bottom-right corner of the screen and select the desired view.

Step 6: Save Your Favorite Locations

If you find a location you want to revisit later, you can save it to your favorites. Simply tap the star icon on the location page to add it to your favorites. You can access your saved locations from the menu icon on the top-left corner of the app.

Step 7: Share Your Experience

Once you have explored a location, you can share your experience with friends and family. Tap the share icon on the location page, and choose your preferred sharing method, such as email, messaging, or social media.

By following these simple steps, you can easily use Street View on the Google Maps app to explore the world from your fingertips. Whether you’re planning a trip, researching a place, or simply curious about different locations, Street View is a valuable tool to have at your disposal.
