How to Remove Credit Card from Apple Pay

Apple Pay has revolutionized the way we make purchases, offering a convenient and secure method to pay for goods and services using your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. However, there may come a time when you need to remove a credit card from Apple Pay, whether it’s due to an expired card, a lost card, or simply no longer using the card. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to remove a credit card from Apple Pay on your device.

First, make sure you have the latest version of iOS or watchOS installed on your device. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone or iPad, and on your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Once you have the latest software, follow these steps to remove a credit card from Apple Pay:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Wallet app. If you don’t see the Wallet app, you may need to download it from the App Store.
  2. Tap on the credit card you want to remove from Apple Pay.
  3. Scroll down and tap on “Remove Card.” You may be prompted to enter your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID to confirm the action.
  4. Tap “Remove Card” again to confirm that you want to remove the card from Apple Pay.

On your Apple Watch, follow these steps to remove a credit card from Apple Pay:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Control Center.
  2. Tap on the Wallet & Apple Pay icon.
  3. Scroll through your cards and tap on the credit card you want to remove.
  4. Tap on “Remove Card” and confirm the action by entering your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

After removing a credit card from Apple Pay, the card will no longer be available for use in Apple Pay. If you need to add a new card, simply follow the same steps to add a new credit card to Apple Pay.

Remember to keep your credit card information up to date in Apple Pay. Regularly reviewing and updating your cards ensures that your transactions are always secure and that you have access to the cards you need.
